BOW BOW

Hadas Kruk of Studio Armadillo, just sent me some interesting and fun photos of their new sustainable detergent packaging concept.
This skittle-shaped bottle not only serves as a colorful packaging for different cleaning detergent, but can also be re-used as a bowling game set, including a ball. Each detergent has a distinctive cap color. The skittle-shaped bottle is very comfortable to use, it allows for a perfect grip and pouring position. After use and rinsing, the bottles serve as a real bowling set. The packaging is attractive and colorful – it adds an additional value of sustainability and fun to this series of products.

Lionshead's makeover

The makeover

The old label design

I received an email from Little Big in NY. They were recently tasked with creating sustainable packaging for Lionhead's new beer labels.

Lionshead, a popular college beer received a complete packaging makeover with authentic graphics, tongue-in-cheek neck labels ("The Best Head in Town", "Light Beers Ahead") and “paw holes” on the six-pack. Higher quality materials were sourced, while considering environmental impacts. The smaller labels, which use 40 percent less paper than previous labels, and unbleached kraft stock for baskets and cartons is truly something to roar about. All these are the product of genius of Little Big, which specializes in strategic brand design, and is a leader in environmentally-responsible packaging.

U Hydration

Nuun developed U , a low-sugar, low-calorie option for hydration. Their packaging needed to stand out on the shelves without being overt, suggest an active lifestyle without alienating recreational consumers, and justify U’s higher price point. Moxie Sozo created packaging with a feminine feel, imagery with a subtle reference to yoga and dance, and a layered design to give it a quiet elegance. Even before U was introduced at the consumer level, it was already receiving praise for its packaging at natural products trade shows and media events.
