Set

Stephanie Meyers, a recent graduate of The Creative Circus in Atlanta, GA, designed this very fun and appealing set of outdoor party supplies.
This line of outdoor party supplies pairs well with cold cocktails and hot gossip. With minimal packaging, the fifties-inspired illustrations and relaxing colors are designed to spark conversation among friends.

Aunt Cookies

David Brinkmann of dbDESIGNS sent us this classy looking cookies packaging.
With Aunt Cookie's we are proving that we are a design agency with many talents in all sorts of brand design. This is the classical version of less is more. Subtle and elegant.
dbDESIGNS, which is based in Germany, was founded by David. After moving to Germany from New York and building a respectable name as a designer and illustrator, David opened the doors to dbDESIGNS in 2005. Since then, there have been happy customers, successful business starts, and brands that jump.

Yuan Gao's Pâtes

Yuan Gao presented Sylvain Allard this beautiful package in his Paris workshop.

One should always be very careful not to do general implementation based on ethnic characteristics. Still there are some that are easy to do like: the running belonging to Africans, cycling to the Europeans, car design to the Germans, gastronomy to the French etc. Mind you there are still tones of exceptions to challenge that, like the famous Finland runner Paavo Nurmi, American cyclist Lance Armstrong, Swedish car Volvo and Italian cuisine.

That being said, when Yuan Gao presented me this beautiful package in my Paris workshop, I couldn't help but thinking that package design really belongs to the Asians. This virtuoso pasta package is built on a bellows system adjusting the box to its content. Once the box gets its minimal size, it is suggested to give the rest of the pastas to the community. The typography stretches and the initial word «pasta » becomes «pastas are made to be shared».

Hangerpak (Student Work)

This is what I call a packaging that kills 2 birds with one stone - It is a box and also acts as a hanger! Concept cleverly thought of by Steve Haslip, a graphic designer from Wivelsfield Green, England.

The concept was fairly simple: I buy t-shirts online and they always come wrinkled and I always run out of coat-hangers. So I designed a sustainable, reusable way to send and keep your t-shirts. As you open the package you create a coat hanger. The packaging could be made from recycled material whether it is card or plastic and the only waste is the green tear-away tab. The t-shirt seen here is from Threadless.
This project won a FIRST prize in the D&AD Student Awards 2007 category 'What else do you do?'.

Ramm ND

Ramm ND, a Russian designer, with a touch of genius, designed these aesthetically pleasing work of art from our normal can drink packaging. Ramm has changed in what is considered an everyday object to something very very special. My favorite is definitely the pantyhose can design, it makes me want to buy two of those instead of a single can! What's yours?

Pop Ink Soap

Beautifully designed packaging by Charles S. Anderson Design for Pop Ink. It is produced in collaboration with French Paper and Laurie DeMartino Design.
I really agree on what the guys at Charles S. Anderson Design said : "We combine the often-opposing principles of art and commerce to create packaging that stands out, gets noticed, and is strategically on target, fresh, intelligent, and engaging."
And I must say, they really has style!

Cambria Juices

Thanks to Fernando Arendar for sending in this package design of Cambria Juices designed by Hangar Studio. I really love these cute little illustrations of the different fruits sitting on what I call a "giant fruit juice sucker". These juices are distributed in the east coast of USA and they are planning to expand their market soon.
Check out their Coronado bottle too!

Mela

Also designed by Jill Brunner.
A hand-painted bottle of apple-infused olive oil made in the idyllic Italian countryside. You can check out his "BARk" packaging too!

BARk

A very interesting piece of conceptualization by Jill Brunner.
A concept dog park and bar/cafe hybrid. Now, visits to the dog park are about relaxing in style instead of muddy shoes and damp benches.

Tate Modern

Fantastically designed by BB/Saunders.
When UBS announced their sponsorship of the Tate Modern, they did so with a spectacular launch party. It included the installation of a dozen cherry blossom trees in the great turbine hall, along with various bespoke pieces of art. In developing the visual language and promotional materials for the event, we made use of delicate paper folding and overprinting techniques to create an intricate layering effect.
