Mister Nesbitt Grooming Kit

Anwar Pack, a graphic designer from Atlanta, Georgia designed this really nice grooming kit for Mister Nesbitt.
"
An emotional branding project for packaging design. I had to develop primary, and secondary packaging, as well as a gift set to house it all, for a fragrance modeled after someone close to me. I chose my father for the project, so I developed a traditional grooming kit. I designed and made all of the packaging, upholstering it with nue-buck leather and suede. I wanted to design something that was traditional and nostalgic, but at the same time contemporary enough to apeal to a more youthful audience."

The Vintage Soda

Some of us grew up drinking from these bottles and cans, most of us threw away after drinking but some of us kept them. Allen is a good example of such collector, he has captured many old items and in a way preserving them in the form of pictures. The photos of some old vintage product packaging design that you can remember around your house when you were little and it always triggers your mind like a switch.
"I'm very old fashioned and have never liked change. I should have been born in 1936, but wasn't. I collect old cans, bottles, radios and alot of other stuff." - Allen

Damskaya - Vodka For Ladies

The packaging for ‘Damskaya’ was designed by the UK design agency Futurebrand and it cost around €200,000 to develop.
According to market research, 45% of vodka consumers are women. "“Ladies will take great pleasure in buying the bottle and gentlemen will purchase this vodka for their ladies and not for themselves,” says a spokesperson for the company. The price range for one bottle on the Russian market will be around 250–280 rubles (around USD 10.00)."

Pica Nuttalli (Student Work)

Elliot Olson, a communication design student from Portland Oregon, has created a identity system, labels, and packaging for a company called Pica Nuttalli. Pica Nuttalli ( a company name that Elliot thought of) is the scientific name of the Yellow Billed Magpie, a bird that only lives in the foothills of California’s wine country. During the project he created a back story for the vineyard, a logo and type treatment, a set of labels, and gift packaging.

Chinese Shampoo Packaging

One of our readers from China who wants to remain anonymous has just gave me an interesting insight of the various shampoo packaging design in China. I find the design going towards the "safer" side that really targets the mass market in the country. Maybe it is because packaging quality in China does not mean striving for perfection. Costs and profit have to be kept in mind in due proportion with each other. But well, the market over there is always evolving and it is set to attract more foreign investors to play in the huge huge market.

MATERNE Limited Edition Jam Bottle

Darlingisbeautiful® has designed a birthday limited edition packaging for MATERNE, the Belgium best loved jam for over a century! Not only a vintage-style, this packaging reproduces the iconic design MATERNE had on its first jar 120 years ago. Challenged by a cost saving exercise, this new packaging is developed with contemporary materials on a regular jar, converting a standard container into a very original packaging. On shelves since the 10h November 2008 in Belgium.
