Thanks to Paulo Lima for sending this William Lawson's Christmas Pack designed by MusaWorkLab, design agency based in Lisboa, Portugal.
"William Lawson's Christmas pack in two colors black and green. In order to increase brand visibility in shelfs, the logo in the box should be combined in pairs to have a big logo surface."
Can design make people buy food that offers Less? This is a question designer Tithi Kutchamuch explored through this design. It is the winner of Pyramid awards, Deutsche Bank 2007 and the finalist of Design for our Future Selves Awards 2007, Helen Hamlyn Centre.
"I buy Twix extra because it’s only 10p more expensive than regular one. I finish it in one go, and feel guilty for the rest of the day.
Bargain food persuades people by playing with the value of money, which has brought a lot of problems to society: over nutrition, eating disorders, obesity, illness, guilt, wasting food, wasting resources, over production, etc.
Can design make people buy food that offers LESS?"
Very very cute D.I.Y cake box by milkbun! You can download the PDF file here to start printing and folding this box yourself!
This is the Strawberry Chocolate Cake with Cake Box TokiToki = cute pod papercraft that you can make it yourself.
This is a little 2inch square cake with a cake box to store it in. There is even room for a little note if you want to give it as a gift =D
I tried very hard to make a heart shaped or round cake but the structures were too complicated and unstable. I would rather the cake be accessable and easy for everyone to make with minimal cutting/folding/glueing. I'll save the tough stuff for another project.
Really appealing beer packaging design by Neumeister.
Input
Spendrups is in the process of repositioning one of its brands, Mariestads. Mariestads Prima Lager is a super-premium lager with a distinctly bitter taste based on 160 years of brewing traditions. Spendrups asked Neumeister to design the packaging so that it would not only reflect the company’s long tradition of craftsmanship but also appeal to discerning beer drinkers.
Output
The packaging design for the bottle is a seamless fusion of traditional values and contemporary design elements. The retail packaging (4-pack and carton) is used to tell the story of the old brewery and the origins of the beer.
Outcome
Mariestads Prima Lager has been given an ovation by the beer connoisseurs within Swedish news media. Very soon we will know the opinion of the connoisseurs amongst beer consumers.
Check out their "Vitamin Well" and "Kronvodka" too!
"Green Eggs" packaging designed by Swear Words.
For the Greens, freshness and quality are the most important things, along with environmental sustainability and the happiness and welfare of their hens. Green Eggs are for people who share these values and want to supply the best products to their homes and customers, whilst supporting regional Victorian food producers.
We were asked to re-brand and package Green Eggs to communicate these values, and to have a some fun in the process. Check 'em out at all discerning eateries.
Nice ice cream packaging by James A Wilhelm, a full time designer in Cleveland, Ohio.
Woo City is a small manufacturer of organic and all natural ice cream, sorbet and tofu. With the expanse into the retail market, Woo City needed a pint line designed with high visual impact on a minimal budget. Pictured here is a sample of the thirty flavor pint line.
Latest work from 999 Design.
Whyte & Mackay is one of Scotland's most famous whisky brands. 'The Special' was its first blended whisky and now sells more than one million cases a year worldwide.
So when we were commissioned to redesign the cartons for a Whyte and Mackay range which included the Special, The Thirteen and The Old Luxury we raised our glasses.
The brief required that we modernise the overall look and feel of the cartons but retain the essence and integrity of the Whyte and Mackay brand.
The result was more an evolution of the previous packaging, retaining several of the classic Whyte and Mackay emblems but introducing them in a cleaner and more contemporary way.
The design has proved to be incredibly popular and was distributed on a huge scale for the Christmas market.
Check out their "Blond Bitch" and "Love Saves The Day" too!
New work for
Valt Vodka by
Curious.
The first and only Scottish single malt vodka in the world deserves a canny measure of expertise when it comes to its packaging. As part of the total marketing assessment, Curious supported the brand with work as unique as the product itself. Chevron-shaped materials, complementing the V of Valt, added to the striking look of the bottle itself.
Thanks to AGDA awards for sending in this 2008 Packaging Distinction winner designed by War Design.
“Imagine being briefed to create striking packaging for a product named after the height of the bottle it’s packaged in. With only small print runs required, there was a real opportunity to have some fun. The solution was to design labels that were also 12″ long, printed onto packing tape using different colours to identify different variants. The labels wrap around the bottle creating a powerful and memorable branding device.”
Gotta love these flora match boxes!
I found these at a boutique in Yaletown, Vancouver, and they do a bang up job of sprucing up our bathrooms. Normally there are generic matchboxes scattered about the countertops, so I gathered all those up, stored them in a dry place for later use, and now these beautiful boxes are sitting next to the soap dispensers. I know this next sentence may be going too far, but now we feel a little more stylish when cleaning up after a poo.

Thanks to Benjamin Ridgway of Make Brand studio for sending in the company's recently completed Tea Packaging for an Irish food company called Solaris Botanicals. The packaging featured a spot varnish to communicate the water aspect of the product and blooming effect of the tea when immersed in water.
"The brief was to create packaging for a tea product that was not only for consumption but with had sense of occasion around it. Blooming tea when put in hot water flowers, blooms and infuses the water it's put in, this was a really interesting process that had to be visualised in the design. Aimed at the luxury tea market a clean professional approach was necessary, the finishes we used were spot UV to get across the water aspect of the products and to make this product stand out on the shelf. All in all it worked out well and has had a great response by their retailers so far."
Thanks to Fernando Arendar for sending in this very exquisite label design of Coronado designed by Hangar Studio.
This label was design for a Premium Wine produced in Mendoza, Argentina, where the most famous and prestigious wineries of the world are located. Coronado is also the name of the eagle that lives in Mendoza. That is why the "wine eagle" is used as a brand icon.
Found this cutie on the web, I was wondering if this is from Naoto Fukasawa, the same Japanese creator of the Takara Banana Juice?
