

Packaging and Identity system for Loop Restaurant in Istanbul by Sani Levi.
This is a redesign for the dvd packaging of "Style Wars." It's a documentary about the birth of graffiti in New York in 1982 and how it contributed to the rise of hip-hop culture in the late 80's. My concept was to convey the feeling of the time period through color and texture. The black and white photography symbolizes the grit and bleak tone of the project housing complexes in NY. The color symbolizes the hope and positivity that hip-hop brought to the community.
Design Packaging's 25th anniversary is coming up which gives us the perfect excuse to redesign our marketing materials. As excited as I am to be working on the new kit, I am sad to see last year's kit edged out by a newer, faster, younger, and better looking model.Read more over here.
The 2008 Luxury Retail Packaging Kit was completely designed from the recipient’s perspective. Putting yourself on the consumer’s side of the equation, as opposed to the designer's side, allows you to understand the anticipation of the entire unveiling process.
Production of IV-bags generate inflatable cut-offs. The only addition that is needed for the leftovers to function as packaging for liquid, is one weld on the top and one weld on the bottom as well as a print explaining the content. Schampo, conditioner and soap are made to give showering a touch of selfmedication. The bags can be used as refill or as they are, hanging in the shower. The content stays in the package when it is open, due to surface tension.
