not a box lamp
This is not a box but a lamp. This lamp packaging comes as a box with all parts inside (bulb, plug, cable etc. + manual). You cut top and bottom yourself and then install. The cut out of the lamp shape functions as a graphical image of the lamp that could be inside the box, but is not.

Trillium Absinthe
Trillium Absinthe is one of the first legally produced absinthes in the United States. Its another great spirit from Integrity Spirits in Portland Oregon.
The bottle has a distinct shape that communicates the elegance and ritual of absinthe. The botanicals used to make the absinthe are represented on the outside of the bottle in the label design. The bottle itself, is sealed with a wax cap. The layers of the design echo the complexity of the absinthe within.

Sub Rosa Spirits
Mike Sherwood of Sub Rosa Spirits just emailed me some interesting information about his vodkas. His company, Sub Rosa Spirits is an Oregon craft distillery producing non-traditional distillates that carry great intensity and flavor. Their two products are culinary inspired vodkas. The first distillate is a Tarragon infused vodka and the second is the Saffron, both designed with a unique emblem that contains meticulous details in them. Sub Rosa Spirits make 50 - 60 cases at a time, each one is hand stamped with date of production and a batch numbered. Click here to find where you can get them in the good ole' US of A!

Stitch Em on
Aspiring design Junfei, who also designed the Nestle ice cream bobblers, had recently came up with a range of interesting packaging called Stitch Em On. This is a package of buttons which encourage people to craft button art on their t-shirts or other medium. The packaging comes with 3 different length of needles, 2 variety colors, 2 color thread, and a booklet or guide which suggest design for the button crafting and teaches how to sew the buttons.

1950s packaging design
Packaging is one of the most common example of graphic design and the history of packaging design goes right back to the early 19th century where iron and tin plated steel were used to make cans and then paperboard cartons and corrugated fiberboard boxes were first introduced in the late 19th century.
The pictures above shows some of the packaging from the 1950s. You'll be surprised to see some of brands actually maintained their design through the years, so that even after 50 years, you will still go like yep, thats Wrigley's chewing gums in that picture!

China Homeland of Tea
These are the newly redesigned tea packaging. China Homeland of Tea has been around me for years and their packaging has really evolved all these years, it is really a waste to throw away those old packagings back then.
